My Story
Christmas 2010 was when I received my very first beautiful warmer to match my kitchen as a gift from my mother. I'll never forget, as soon as I came home, I opened the box and popped in a cube of sugar cookie and mochadoodle. I was amazed, the next morning, when I awoke to my home filled with smells of cookies in a coffee shop! I was in love!
Although I loved my new warmer and scents, I still wanted to burn my, what I though then, great smelling wick candle. My then 2 year old daughter was coming into her exploring and mischievous stages. While I turned my back, for what I thought was five seconds, she decided to play with the lit candle with a piece of paper. When I saw the orange glare in the corner of my eye, I immediately grabbed the paper from her before it got to her little fingertips. Needless to say, from that night on, every single wick candle was thrown into the trash. From that moment on, I wanted to be safer than sorry, and I permanently used Scentsy wickless from then on out!
Almost a year after receiving my first warmer, I decided to sign up to be a consultant in September 2011. Then, I just had my second child and wanting to stay home with my children was/is a passion of mine. However, my first year as a consultant was tough. I loved the business and everything about it, I just couldn't seem to get myself in the right gear. One year after being a consultant and doing little with my business, I said to myself "Get up and do this!" I asked for help from my sponsor and director and they were there for me, and ever since then, my business grows bigger and better each day. In the beginning, I felt it was going to be hard and I wouldn't have time, but there is where I should not have assumed. Since I run my business, I get to decide the flexibility of my hours and time. I'm able to decide when I'm available. It's really great and it all works out. Knowing this now, I wish I would have had a better start with Scentsy, the statement lies true, "The grass is greener where you water it".
I now have three beautiful children, a daughter who is now 8 and the light of my world - and also two handsome little boys, ages 5 and 9 months that keep me on my toes. My husband and I have been together for 10 years now and married 8 years. My family is such a great support system for me. Having 3 children and using Scentsy in my home, I can share with other worried mothers about having something "burning" in their home. I love being able to tell them that this product is a safer alternative than your average wick candle.
